“Bohemian Rhapsody” has been one of the most anticipated films ever since it was announced that Rami Malek was cast as Freddie Mercury, the frontman for the legendary band Queen. However, it has been a somewhat rocky road to getting the film made. Bryan Singer was originally attached as the Mercury biopic’s director. After shooting a sizable portion of the film, Singer was fired from production due to extensive absences and a poor working relationship with the cast and crew, particularly Malek. Still, production moved onwards and upwards, with “Eddie the Eagle” director Dexter Fletcher taking over at the helm.
In the final trailer, we presented by the main selling point for the entire film — Rami Malek’s portrayal of Freddie Mercury. Sure, this film is a Queen biopic, but according to the reviews (including our own), the main reason (or only reason, depending on which review) that fans will want to check out this film is to see Malek’s performance. And if the trailer is anything to judge by, that would seem accurate.
